For best results, prepare your skin by cleaning and hydrating. You can apply moisturizing cream too

Spray the Perfume onto your Pulse Points – wrists, inner elbows, behind the ears, on your neck etc

Spray it from a distance of 15 cms to ensure the mist sprays on larger portion of your skin

For enhanced experience, you can spray some perfume on your clothes too

For a truly long-lasting fragrance experience, consider layering it by using a Deodorant of the same fragrance

Should we rub after applying the perfume?

Never. Its counterproductive. When you rub the area, the most common habit being rubbing the wrists together, it leads to a disruption of molecules and make the fragrance lose its essence. The best perfumes that last all day are sprayed on the skin from a distance and are left untouched.

How much perfume to apply?

Our intuitive thought for perfume that stays on all day is to spray a lot. It’s a basic human reaction but that’s not needed. The perfume molecules will evaporate together only. The best way to understand how to apply fragrances is to know that a couple of spritz at more pulse points is more impactful than spraying a lot more at fewer pulse points. Also covering a larger skin area by spritzing it from a distance is far more impactful.

How Do I Know Difference in Fragrance Types?

Perfumes have a combination multiple fragrance families, there are only 2 to 3 ingredients/ fragrance that dominate the perfume. The rest of them support the main ingredients. You need to first identify the main ingredient in the perfumes, which fragrance family does it belong to. This basic check will help you understand the difference in fragrance types between two perfumes.

What should I check before buying a perfume?

Aside from the credentials, information about the different fragrance types is important. The notes & accords within each fragrance family have common characteristics so it will help you understand the scent even if you don’t specifically know about the ingredient.

How is Perfume Concentration Measured?

Perfume Concentration is measured as a % of liquid contained in a Perfume Bottle. Concentrated Perfume Oil also known as Fragrance Oil is the main actor or the hero in Perfumes. This oil can range between 3% to 30%. Based on this, International Fragrance Association (IFRA) classifies it as either EDC (2-5% oil), EDT (5-15% oil), EDP (15-20% oil) or Extrait De Parfum (20 to 30% oil). These are all the types of perfume concentration.

Why should I layer my perfume?

Perfume Layering combinations that include using complementary products lie Deos, Shower Gels and Body lotion of the same fragrance are a great way to enhance the longevity of your favourite fragrances and enhancing the experience of using the perfume. Perfume layering combos are a great way to receive compliments for your fragrance.

Can I layer any perfumes together?

Perfume layering combinations that involve mixing two different perfumes as layering scents is an experimentative process. When you layer one perfume which has its own character with another, their characters combine to create to new, unique scent. It can be a hit or it can be a miss. We believe that this is not a great practice because you lose the essence of each perfume. And for you to truly arrive at your signature combination needs time, experiment and knowledge.
